How do I run a report for a project?

There are two types of reports within Trackpal. Standard Trackpal reports and your specific customised reports.

To run a standard Trackpal report:

  1. Click on the Run Report button in under the Run Reports tab.
  2. Click on the report in the drop down list.
  3. Choose the report template from the Server Template drop down list, or alternatively if you want to use a template you already have open, click on Open Workbook and select the workbook from the list.
  4. Choose the project from the Select Project drop down list.
  5. Select the reporting month (for the latest reports this will be last month).
  6. Click OK.

To run a standard Trackpal report without all scheduled jobs:

  1. Follow the instructions 1-5 above and then check the Select scheduled job(s) check box.
  2. Click OK.
  3. A new window will pop up. Check the scheduled job(s) that you want to appear in the report.
  4. Click OK.

To run a customised report:

  1. Click on the Run Report button under the Reports tab.
  2. Choose the report macro you want to run from the Select report macro drop down list.
  3. Choose the report template from the Server Template drop down list, or alternatively if you want to use a template you already have open, click on Open Workbook and select the workbook from the list.
  4. Choose the project from the Select Project drop down list.
  5. Select the reporting month (for the latest reports this will be last month).
  6. Click OK.

To run a customised report without all scheduled jobs:

  1. Follow the instructions 1-6 above and then check the Select scheduled job(s) check box.
  2. Click OK.
  3. A new window will pop up. Check the scheduled job(s) that you want to appear in the report.
  4. Click OK.
